Alvaro Bautista Will Race For Ducati In WorldSBK 2019

After 16 years of sticking on the MotoGP race, Alvaro Bautista, the Spainish racer will move to another racing team, Racing – Ducati, at WorldSBK award that is going to hold at the end of this year.

With the announcement on social network which talks about his future decisions, Alvaro Bautista (Angel Nieto racing team) confirmed that in the MotoGP Silverstone press conference that he would be leaving MotoGP after 16 years conquesting to race alongside Chaz Davies at Racing – Ducati in the WorldSBK award.

Bautista achieved 49 podiums under his name with 16 victories on the 125cc and 250cc racing series. The greatest year of the Spanish racer is 2006, when he was crowned beacause of becoming the 125cc World’s Champion when he just was 22 years old.

Bautista commented about his move: “For me, the next season will be a new challenge because I would move from this race to WorldSBK after 16 years of racing with the official racing team Aruba Ducati. So I am very excited, it is really a new amazing challenge for me”.

Moreover, he also said that: “The persuasion that Ducati put on me really well and we will be strong together. I think we can achieve good results and have more fun. That is the race which is developing, so I am looking forward to this brand new challenge and I will also try to enjoy the last of my race in the MotoGP Championship”.

It seems the Racing – Ducati WorldSBK squad is ready for the season 2019. After announcing a brand new with Angel Nieto MotoGP rider at the present, Alvaro Bautista, the Ducati factory WorldSBK team also confirmed that they had renewed the contract with Chaz Davies.

With a new team and a completely new machine, Racing – Ducati Team is seeking to take the fight directly to other manufacturers in WorldSBK, particularly Kawasaki and Yamaha. It has been a difficult season so far and they hope that they will turn things around for the better by the year 2019.

Vroom, Start Your Engine’s with Heather Bonanni

Women off-road racing teams show that the belief that getting dirty is only for the boys are so out of fashion. One of the most predominant women’s teams is the Getting Dirty for the Ta Ta’s Race Team that started back in 2009. The racing team drivers include Renee Hudson and Heather Bonanni as well as co-driver Denise Hall. With big plans, for the future, many racing enthusiasts are most interested in the driver’s backgrounds.

Renee Hudson

Renee Hudson started the Getting Dirty for the Ta Ta’s all female club in 2009 after being involved in off-road racing most of her life. The club has been competing ever since in several races for a cure as well as PURE races. In the BITD Parker 250 race, the team took second place and first place in the BITD Parker Desert Challenge. Hudson is passionate about the sport, loves racing and raised over $20,000 for her local mammogram program and continues to enjoy the sport as the club continues to enjoy success season after season.

Heather Bonanni

Heather Bonanni was born in San Diego, grew up in Downey and her hobbies have always been more focused towards the outdoors, including swimming. Married to Real Estate Developer John Bonanni, the couple has two kids of their own and two step kids.

Starting off-road racing in 2005 on a circuit, Heather formed an all-female racing team called the All American Girl Racing and raced with her team in several local races and won the Primm Nevada. She also completed both the Baja 100 and Baja 500 races and now holds the record for the first and only team of only females to finish top to tip. Currently, Heather Bonanni races with her husband and is regularly invited by other female racers to participate as part of their teams. One of the things, she looked forward most was to start racing for the Ta Ta’s due to the clubs aim to raise money for breast cancer.

Denise Hall

Co-Driver Denise Hall was involved with off-road racing since her ninth birthday and started as a co-driver as part of the Getting Dirty for the Ta Ta’s in 2009. She has competed in many races including the Bluewater Challenge, Race for the Cure and the Mint400 and when she is not racing across the desert, she is out on the motocross tracks. Hall loves supporting her husband with WORCS races and being part in the Ta Ta’s team is one of her career highlights.

The trio shares the same goal, and that is to move up in class until they reach the podium as the most successful race team. The ladies don’t consider off-road racing as a career and race in their buggy type car for the excitement, and even with generous sponsors they still spend quite a bit of cash from their own pockets on the sport they feel so passionate about.

What is the All-American Girl Racing Team up to Now?

The All-American Girl Racing is an off-roading group that is known for only having a trip of female riders. The trio rose to fame as they competed in an array of off-road events that were known to be centered towards men – such as the Southern Nevada Off-Road Enthusiasts (SNORE), and the Mohave Desert Racing (MDR), along with the SCORE International Off-Road Racing Events where they truly generated fame as the competed in the highly anticipated Baja 1000. Though, after a while, the hype of these three female riders died down. Although, this doesn’t mean that they stopped living their life’s – here’s a recap of what the three members of the iconic pro-girl riding group are up to today.

Beccy Gordon

Before Beccy Gordon became a famed rider, her family shared a joint history of off-road racing which started with her great-grandfather, Huntley Gordon, who was known to be racing cars during the beginning of the 1900’s. Moreover, her mother actually ran through the Baja 500 – all the time while she was nearly seven months pregnant with Beccy. Outside of racing, Beccy was a member of the United States Women’s National Softball Team along with being a swimsuit model for some of her career

After finishing college at Chapman University – Beccy became a racing journalist who was known for being a regular at an array of off-road racing events. The excitement of it prompted her and her sister, Robyn, to create their own off-road team – which was supposed to be female exclusive.

Now that the team has disbanded, Beccy is living her own life. She is currently married to IndyCar Series racer Ryan Hunter-Reay and has three children. Instead of racing full time, Beccy now works as a spokesperson for the Phoenix International Raceway and for NASCAR.

Robyn Gordon

Sharing the same family lineage as Beccy – Robyn is no stranger to off-road racing. As her great-grandfather and mother both shared the passion for racing cars and bikes off-road, it rubbed off on Robyn as well.

Not much is known about the co-creator of the AAGR as she seemingly kept her personal life to herself and her family. However, it is understood that she helped her sister create the group and participated in an array of racing events where she grew in fame.

Nowadays it’s a bit hard to find information about Robyn as she does not seem to have any active social media. Her only account is a twitter account where she last updated on January 2018.

Heather Bonnani

While not much about Heather Bonnai past is known, she was known to be a longtime off-road racing enthusiast and the creator of AAGR. One of her main reasons for creating the team was because she had a passion for racing and wanted to feature a group that was only filled with women to push the narrative that women can do it just as good as men.

After competing in a few off-road racing events with Beccy and Robyn, Heather is now married with four children. She works from home in Laguna Niguel. While she only races car as a pastime, Heather is now a GritCycle enthusiast where she has done a few interviews deciding her new life and loving every second of it.
