Racing world 2021: Number of record races, chaos changes in personnel (Part 2)

The season will start late in Qatar in the last week of March (March 26-28) and end in Valencia (November 12-14). The 11th leg is still undefined, along with the 3 reserve stages located in Portugal (Algarve), Russia (Igora) and Indonesia (Mandalika).

The third season of the MotoE World Cup will continue to have 6 races, held at Jerez, Le Mans, Barcelona-Catalunya, Assen, Red Bull Ring and closed at Misano (September 19).

After Haas confirmed he would part with his two current drivers – Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen, in turn the other teams officially announced to keep their roster for the 2021 season.

Despite a lot of speculation about the change of racer, Alfa Romeo eventually decided to continue working with Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi. In addition, the name Alfa Romeo Racing will maintain in 2021 with a cooperation agreement with Sauber.

Williams Racing, after changing hands, decided to maintain the current two drivers, George Russell and Nicholas Latifi, for the second year in a row. Pierre Gasly and AlphaTauri are working together very successfully, as evidenced by their miraculous victory at Monza in early September. That is why the two sides have continued to stick together for one more season. From the above information, there will be only 6 vacant positions in 5 different racing teams: Mercedes, Red Bull, Aston Martin (currently Racing Point), AlphaTauri and Haas.

Lewis Hamilton will almost certainly stay in Mercedes if he does not make a shocking decision after winning the 7th championship, the remaining problem is probably just details of the terms of the contract.

F1 racing schedule in 2021 is expected to be announced in the past few days with the main highlight is the number of races in a season with many records, 23 races. Like MotoGP, F1 will start the new season later than usual, with Albert Park, Australia still to be the opening place on the weekend of 19-21 March 2021. The season kicks off in Abu Dhabi, UAE in the first week of December (December 3 to 5, 2021).

After so many rumors since the beginning of the year, F1 finally welcomed the arrival of Saudi Arabia, the 33rd country in the world with the honor of hosting an F1 race. The second most populous city in the world, Jeddah, is scheduled to set up a street racing track to host the penultimate race of the 2021 season.

The final structure has not been approved but the track is expected to be located in the coastal Corniche, offering a stunning view when F1 cars arrive late November next year, especially when the track is held in the dark, adding one more element to the long-awaited race.
